Lunch & Learn, "Think Tank" style discussion forum, which is designed FOR our kiddos, led BY our kiddos. 

Our lunch & learn is a time for brainstorming and idea sharing of homeschool related topics - things our kiddos have done, the pros, the cons, how it has helped them, ideas for things they would like to do, etc. 

Benefits of the Lunch & Learn: This fosters a sense of comradery with fellow homeschoolers, encouraging future leaders, critical thinkers, problem solvers and entrepreneurs! 

How to Workshop, which is designed FOR our kiddos, taught BY our kiddos, and offers fun hands on learning! 

Our kiddos will take turns teaching the workshop on the topic of their choice. Topics can include: art, crafts, DIY projects, science, cooking, math, foreign language, dance, musical instruments and more. Topic will be approved by Instructor prior to each class. 

Benefits of workshop: This will instill valuable lifelong skills such as public speaking, personal research, leadership and more!

“Mom’s Game of Life” -  One of a kind, created especially for Island Leap & Learn! 

Once a month, we will incorporate this into our class. This is a personal finance 101 class where our kiddos will learn to budget and balance a checkbook! They will have a career, family, salary, bills, etc! Our kiddos will have a paycheck and a set of bills and will be responsible to pay their bills and balance their checkbook. There will be surprise life events that happen (good or bad) such as receiving a bonus at work or getting a flat tire and needing to pay to have it repaired and as a result having to miss work, thus needing to notify their boss of what is happening. This one act teaches so many real world life lessons.

Benefits of Mom’s Game of Life: This class will be informative and it will be training our young minds for very necessary and essential life skills as well as just being fun! 

Each month, our kiddos will take turns leading the game.  

2:00 - 4:00:

Tumbling & Cheer! 

This is especially designed for our Island Leap & Learn Homeschoolers! Whether you’re just starting out or you’re an advanced athlete ready to reach new skills, our specialized tumbling classes are designed to support your athlete every step of the way. With instruction and personalized guidance, we provide the tools and techniques you need to progress and excel in your tumbling skills.

Skills include: handstands, basic tumbling shapes (hollow body, lunge, head placement, etc.), forward/backward rolls, front limbers, back bridges, bridge kick over, cartwheel, front walk over, back walk over, roundoff, cheer 101 (basic cheer skills, motions, jumps, flex), and more!
