What Are We All About?

At Island Leap & Learn everyday is a FUNDAY!

We are a K-12 homeschool enrichment program. We offer supplemental classes, activities and events to go along with your at home curriculum.

A typical day at Island Leap & Learn includes independent study time, a student led hands on workshop featuring a variety of topics, a tumbling / cheer class and open gym! 

During our dedicated quiet time, our kiddos independently work on their own curriculum. Whether your kiddo enjoys working on paper, online or doing a quiet hands on activity, we will all be working independently, together. This ensures consistency with your at home style of education along with a sense of comradery with fellow homeschoolers. 

How Are We Unique?

Our kiddos have a one of a kind opportunity to combine movement with learning. We are located at Island All- Stars Cheer & Tumbling, which is known as the premier gym and the sole All-Star destination on the Island, hence the name “Island Leap & Learn”!  This is a great way for our kiddos to get active, move around, work off energy, build muscle strength and give themselves a brain break. 

Our class provides several programs that are especially designed for our kiddos and each offer a valuable array of lifelong skills. Some include: intro to Spanish, intro to Sign Language, cursive handwriting,  line dancing, spanish dancing, CPR training and so much more! If you have suggestions, we will take them and who knows they may be your next class!

We offer Tumbling & Cheer at Island All-Stars led by USASF Certified Coaches! 

•  Our coaches & instructors at Island Leap & Learn and Island All Stars are USASF certified! 

• This class is especially designed for our Island Leap & Learn  homeschoolers and is included in  the standard tuition for our weekday classes! Whether you’re just starting out or you’re an advanced athlete ready to reach new skills, our specialized tumbling classes are designed to support your athlete every step of the way. With expert instruction and personalized guidance, we provide the tools and techniques you need to progress and excel in your tumbling skills.

• Skills include: handstands, basic tumbling shapes (hollow body, lunge, head placement, etc.), forward/backward rolls, front limbers, back bridges, bridge kick over, cartwheel, front walk over, back walk over, roundoff, cheer 101 (basic cheer skills, motions, jumps, flex), and more!

We offer a How to Workshop which is designed FOR our kiddos, taught BY our kiddos, and offers fun hands on learning! 

• This is also included in our standard tuition for weekday classes! Our kiddos will take turns teaching the workshop on the topic of their choice. Topics can include: art, crafts, DIY projects, science, cooking, math, foreign language, dance, musical instruments and more. Topic will be approved by Instructor prior to each class. 

• Benefits of workshop: This will instill valuable lifelong skills such as public speaking, personal research, leadership and more!

We offer a one of a kind, created especially for Island Leap & Learn, “Mom’s Game of Life”! 

• This is also included in our standard tuition for weekday classes! Once a month, we will incorporate this into our class. This is a personal finance 101 class where our kiddos will learn to budget and balance a checkbook! They will have a career, family, salary, bills, etc! Our kiddos will have a paycheck and a set of bills and will be responsible to pay their bills and balance their checkbook. There will be surprise life events that happen (good or bad) such as receiving a bonus at work or getting a flat tire and needing to pay to have it repaired and as a result having to miss work, thus needing to notify their boss of what is happening. This one act teaches so many real world life lessons.

• Benefits of Mom’s Game of Life: This class will be informative and it will be training our young minds for very necessary and essential life skills as well as just being fun🤩!
